Honor Our Troops

El Dorado County Association of Realtors (EDCAR) is in its 14th year of supporting our soldiers through the "Honor our Troops" committee, commonly referred to as H.O.T.

It is our desire to support our local military during their deployment by sending them boxes filled with supplies and thoughts from home. Any soldier who is currently in a war zone and from El Dorado County (EDC) or has family living in EDC can be added to our roster.
Currently, H.O.T. sends out packages 3x a year filled with cards from EDC groups, local publications, candy, socks, toiletries, games and much more. Our packages are also supported by Henry’s Steak House at the Red Hawk Casino in Shingle Springs who provides our "Yellow Ribbon Rib Eye Certificate for a complimentary meal when the service person returns or visits.

We raise all of our funds locally through individual donations, Our Annual "All American Breakfast", and Annual Spaghetti Feed fund raisers. EDCAR would love to invite you as a community to join us in this worthwhile endeavor. If you know of a military service person serving in one of the war zones, please contact us with their name, mailing address, their local contact person's name, address, phone number and email address.

We have scholarships available for our service members who are from El Dorado County or have family members in El Dorado County and have served in the war zones.
